The Whidbey standing desk was born from the environment. The river top is local walnut and the legs carry the whimsical shape of Madrone trees, an indigenous species growing on Whidbey Island, where Jonathan's shop is. This desk would be equally at home in an ecological center as in a sunlit home office. Pairs well with house plants and local pottery.

The patterns for the legs are provided by Jonathan's wife, Tanya.

As shown:

  • Local black walnut which came down due to storm damage
  • Birch plywood
  • Soft-close Austrian drawer slides
  • $4,570
